Damp Cycle

Water · Material · Spore

Run0:00

One clock drives every panel. They are only comparable because none of them can run ahead of another.

The flood

The same event in every panel — that is what makes them a comparison. While water is still arriving no response can win, so this is the clock every action is really being timed against.

Your handsdrag on a panel

Whatever you do by hand happens to one panel, so it breaks the comparison on purpose. Scrubbing takes the mould off surfaces you can reach and leaves the water where it is.

Scenarios4

Adding or removing restarts the comparison — the shared clock cannot be joined halfway.

The loop

Spores adrift0

Cold surface wets0

Water falls, pools, and soaks into the floor. Nothing looks wrong yet.

Edit scenario

How long water keeps arriving is set once, in the rail — it is the same event in every panel, and comparing two different floods would not be comparing anything.

Ventilation and dehumidifiers reach the air and the surface. Neither reaches the inside of a soaked slab — that is why the timing of the decision matters more than its strength.
